STONY BROOK, N.Y. --- Lexi Wierzbicki and
Gabi Bailey each put down 10 kills, and the Cougars combined for a .346 hitting percentage as College of Charleston picked up its eighth sweep of the season with a straight-set victory over Stony Brook on Saturday afternoon in CAA action.
With the win College of Charleston (11-13, 6-5 CAA) moved into a tie for fifth place in the CAA standings alongside William & Mary. The Cougars won the match by scores of 27-25, 25-22 and 25-20 while combining for 48 kills, seven blocks and a .346 hitting percentage. Stony Brook (9-13, 4-9 CAA) finished the match with 44 kills, seven aces, five blocks and a .226 attacking clip.
