CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston finishes its 3-game road swing looking to stay perfect on the trip when the Cougars face UNCW on Saturday. Tip-off at Trask Coliseum is set for 7 p.m. ET on FloSports.

STORYLINES
  • Charleston enters Saturday's showdown at UNCW riding a 3-game win streak, the longest current streak in the Colonial Athletic Association.
  • The Cougars downed Elon in thrilling fashion on the road to pick up their third straight, erasing a late deficit to win on a buzzer beater from sophomore Nick Farrar. Half of CofC's 22 games this season have now been decided by single digits, with the Cougars going 7-4 in those contests. Charleston has racked up five one-possession victories this season.
  • Farrar finished with a career-high 23 points in the heroic effort, becoming the fourth different Charleston player with 20+ in a game this season alongside John Meeks, Brenden Tucker & Reyne Smith. It marked the 11th time a Cougar has dropped at least 20 in a game during this campaign.
  • The Cougars now have regular season sweeps over William & Mary for the first time ever and Elon for the first time since 2019.
  • CofC looks to even the all-time series with UNCW at 16-16 and snap a 3-game losing skid vs. The Seahawks when it heads to Trask Colisuem on Saturday. The Cougars last won at Trask on Dec. 29, 2018 and have won three of the last four road matchups at UNCW.
  • Pat Kelsey enters Saturday's clash at UNCW one win shy of the 200-career win mark in just his 10th campaign as a head coach.
  • Senior John Meeks also enters Saturday needing just 15 points to reach the 1,000-career point milestone. He's reached double figures in 15 of 19 games this season. Meeks scored a season-high 27 points in CofC's last matchup with UNCW on Jan. 17.
  • To launch the 3-game win streak, CofC beat two straight league opponents (W&M, Northeastern)by 18+ for the first time since Feb. 4 and Feb. 6, 2016. Charleston's 23-point win over William & Mary  was its largest margin of victory in CAA play since downing the Tribe by 33 on Feb. 19, 2014.
  • Freshman Reyne Smith leads the entire country in free throw percentage (min. 2.5 makes per game), shooting 94.8 percent from the foul line. He hasn't missed a free throw since Dec. 16.
  • With 14 more offensive rebounds vs. Elon, CofC ranks fifth nationally in o-boards per game. The Cougars have snagged 14 or more offensive rebounds in seven games this season (one of 20 schools nationally to do so). The Cougars haven't been outrebounded yet in league play. CofC's 41.1 rebounds-per-game clip is the highest season team average since 2005-06.
  • CofC ranks second nationally in possessions per game with 77.7, trailing Morgan St.'s 77.9.
