CHARLESTON, S.C. - Fresh off a resounding win over Northeastern, CofC Basketball pivots to a three-game road trip beginning Thursday at William & Mary. Tip-off in Williamsburg is set for 7 p.m. ET on FloSports.

STORYLINES
  • Charleston dominated William & Mary on Thursday, picking up its first ever win on the road at Kaplan Arena in program history and its first regular season sweep of the Tribe in school history. The Cougars have now won three straight in the series with William & Mary.
  • After playing in 10 straight games decided by single digits, CofC has blown out two consecutive opponents by a combined 41 points. The last time the Cougars beat two straight league opponents by 18+ was Feb. 4 and Feb. 6, 2016. Charleston's 23-point win over William & Mary  was its largest margin of victory in CAA play since downing the Tribe by 33 on Feb. 19, 2014.
  • Charleston shot a season-best 56.9 percent in Thursday's victory at William & Mary. Over its last three halves of basketball, CofC is shooting 48-of-85 (56.4 percent). CofC's defense also limited the Tribe to 36 percent shooting, the worst by any opponent this season.
  • Five Cougars scored in double figures to down the Tribe, led by Brenden Tucker, who scored a game-high 21 points. Tucker is averaging a team-high 16 PPG over the last four games after the 8-of-15 effort in Williamsburg. CofC is 3-1 in that stretch and 9-2 overall this season when Tucker scores 12+ points in a game.
  • Pat Kelsey enters Saturday's tilt at Elon needing only two victories to reach the 200-career win mark in just his 10th campaign as a head coach.
  • The Cougars are looking for their first regular season sweep of Elon since 2019. CofC is 24-9 all-time against the Phoenix and the Cougars have won six of their last seven games on the road at Elon. CofC downed Elon, 65-61, on Jan. 9 behind a 19-point, seven-rebound performance from senior John Meeks.
  • Meeks has scored in double figures in 15 of 18 game appearances, with CofC going 10-5 in those contests. He enters Saturday's matchup at Elon needing 24 points to join the 1,000-career point club.
  • Charleston once again outrebounded William & Mary by 13 and hasn't been outrebounded in a game since Dec. 12. The Cougars have crashed the offensive glass to the tune of at least eight o-boards in every game this season. CofC has 11+ offensive rebounds in seven of nine CAA games.
  • Freshman Reyne Smith buried three more triples on Thursday at William & Mary, giving him 61 this season. That ranks second all-time already among CofC freshmen in program history, trailing Andrew Goudelock's freshman school-record by just 12 treys heading into Saturday's matchup.
