CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The fifth-seeded College of Charleston men's tennis team (9-8, 1-2) will begin its postseason on Friday as it takes on fourth-seeded Elon (13-8, 0-2) in the CAA Men's Tennis Championships. The Cougars are looking for their first win at the CAA Championships since 2017 and first victory over Elon since 2016.
Charleston enters the postseason on a hot streak, winning seven of its last nine matches.
Johnny Wang and
Andre Limon have helped lead that charge, with each winning eight of their last ten singles matches. Wang and Limon are tied for the best singles record on the team, with both owning a 12-5 mark in solo play.
CofC is coming off a 7-0 sweep of its crosstown rival, The Citadel. Charleston finished the regular season 6-3 at home and 3-5 on the road.
The Cougars have entered the CAA Championships as the No. 5 seed just once prior, in 2019. Charleston fell to James Madison in the quarterfinals that season.
