ATHENS, Ga. --- The College of Charleston volleyball team fell to Texas Tech in straight sets Friday afternoon to begin the weekend at Georgia's Bulldog Classic.
 
Texas Tech (4-0) won the match by scores of 25-21, 25-19 and 25-13 compiling a .357 hitting percentage on the afternoon with 45 kills. The Red Raiders held College of Charleston (2-2) to a .125 clip on the attack as the Cougars fell to 2-2 on the young season.

Critical Point
With Charleston leading 12-11 in the second set, Texas Tech answered with a 4-0 run to jump in front, 15-12, on a kill from Maddie O'Brien. The Red Raiders would go on to win the set, 25-19, before completing the sweep in set three.

• Gabi Bailey paced the attack with 10 kills while adding seven digs.
• Claire Campbell and Anna Smith finished the match with six kills each.
• Emma Falk chipped in four kills and three blocks.
