CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston heads into a pair of must-win situations when the Cougars host William & Mary for a noon kickoff on Sunday.
Sunday's final home game of the season will include a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Charleston women's soccer program.
Charleston has nine points in the CAA standings and needs to defeat the Tribe and win again at Elon next Sunday to have any hope of passing either UNCW (14 points) or Stony Brook (12) for a berth in the six-team CAA Tournament field.
Towson, Hofstra and Monmouth have clinched postseason trips with Northeastern (18), William & Mary (17) and UNCW (14) currently holding the three remaining spots.
Charleston and William & Mary have met 10 times since the Cougars joined the CAA in 2013. The Tribe holds a 5-1-4 lead in the series, and the teams played to a 2-2 draw last season in Williamsburg with Bubbles Dever and Grace Powell scoring the Cougar goals.
