Northeastern Takes Weekend Opener Saturday

BOSTON, Mass. --- Northeastern took advantage of efficient play to take the first of two pivotal CAA matches against the College of Charleston Saturday by a 3-0 margin (25-22, 25-18, 25-14).

Lexi Wierzbicki and Anna Smith paced the Cougar attack once again finishing with double digit kills (11 and 10) but the home Huskies used 10 aces and 10 blocks to create enough separation over the first two sets before a 9-0 run in the third put Northeastern ahead for good.
