Cougars Take Sixth at Evie Odom Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The College of Charleston women's golf team placed sixth at the Evie Odom Invitational hosted by Old Dominion. The Cougars shot a 871 on the weekend to finish 31-over. UCF won the tournament at 10-over.
"I wish we would have finished a little stronger late in the round, but it was still a good finish this week," said head coach Jamie Futrell. "It definitely gives us some momentum heading into Edisto next week. Congrats to Othilie on her play this week."
Senior Othilie Lied was the tournament's top ranked individual, finishing T9 (+2). Classmate Viktoria Hund finished just outside the top ten at T11 while Emma Schimpf placed T15.
The Cougars will return to action on October 16 to play host at the Edisto Island Invitational.
