CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team ended nonconference play undefeated at home, after a win against Radford, 74-50.
Three Cougars ended the day in double-digits, led by
Taryn Barbot with a career high 24 points. Barbot found luck the arc, going 6-for-10.
Jenna Annecchiarico had high efficiency for the Cougars with 19 points, nine assists and five rebounds. Annecchiarico provided the spark for the Cougars heading into half, downing a basket to tie the game at 27. To end the second, a shot from behind the paint contributed to the nine-point lead, leaving Charleston in celebration as the halftime buzzer rang.
A strong defensive performance in the second half solidified the win for the Cougars.
Naylee Cortes provided that burst of energy needed to hold off a Radford comeback. Charleston ended the contest with 17 steals.
Coming off a strong showing on Tuesday,
Alexis Andrews saw another double-digit game with 15 points, four rebounds and three steals.
