NEWARK, DE. –The College of Charleston women's basketball team defeated Delaware 90-56 in Newark on Sunday afternoon with
Anika McGarity and
Jada Logan combining for 61 points.

The Cougars moved to 10-13 with a CAA record of 5-8. Delaware dropped to 13-10 with a CAA record of 6-6.

McGarity dropped 10 from deep which is tied for the most in program history and scored a career high 32 points. Logan recorded a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds.

Makayla Pippin of Delaware scored 18 points and seven rebounds.

College of Charleston will head back home to face Stony Brook at home on Friday, February 16.

How it Happened
- Charleston dominated the first quarter of play outscored Delaware 29-9. Cougars shot 45.7% from the field compared to the Blue Hens 17.6% from the field.
- Delaware started the second with a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to 29-16 with just over seven minutes left. The Blue Hens increased their shooting percentage to 39.1% while Charleston dropped 33.3%. The Cougars entered the locker room up 42-29 thanks to their first half performance.
- Charleston remained hot in the third quarter with a 51.8% shooting percentage from the field compared to Delaware's 38.5%. The Cougars held a 26-point lead over the Blue Hens to end the third quarter up 66-40.
- In the final quarter of play, College of Charleston shot 57% from deep while Delaware shot 32%.
