Women's Tennis Cruises Past Newberry

Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C.—The College of Charleston women's tennis team swept No. 25 in division 2 Newberry 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the College of Charleston Tennis Center. 
 
Charleston jumped on Newberry early in doubles with each court taking their match.
 
Onto singles play Halli Trinkle moved to 4-1 and Maja Jekauc moved to 3-1. Slade Coetzee battled her way through her match going into tie-break in her first set and won 7-5 and cruised through the second set 6-2 to move her record 4-2. Nicole Stephens (4-2) with her second singles match victory in a row with a 6-1, and 6-2 win. Ella Faessler (2-4) and Peyton Brotzman (2-1) picked up their second victories this season.
