
Women's Tennis Enters the CAA Tournament No. 3 Seed

RICHMOND, VA—The College of Charleston women's tennis team earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming CAA Championship tournament. All matches for this year's CAA tournament will be hosted at McCormack-Nagelsen Tennis Center, home of the William & Mary Tribe.
Charleston finished the season with a 16-5 record and 2-0 in the CAA.
Coach Angelo Anastopoulo passed John Kresse (560) for the most wins by a coach at the College of Charleston where he finished with 573 wins.
The Cougars had five athletes with double-figure wins in singles. College of Charleston's seniors Slade Coetzee (16-4) and Nicole Stephens (18-3) combined for a 34-7 record. Maja Jekauc posted a 14-5 record, Halli Trinkle scored a 12-5 record followed close behind Peyton Brotzman with an 11-5 record.
The Cougars will begin play on Friday, April 21 against the winner of the No. 6 UNCW / No. 11 Hofstra match at 6 p.m in the quarterfinals. If Charleston wins on Friday, they will play Saturday, April 22 at 3 p.m. in the semifinals. The championship match will take place on Sunday, April 23 at 2 p.m.
Admission is free to all matches at the CAA Women's Tennis Championship.
