
Charleston Volleyball Announces 2023 Schedule

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston volleyball will embark on a 29-match regular season in 2023 beginning on their home floor in TD Arena on August 25, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
"I am really excited for this fall and the schedule we have put together," said head coach Jason Kepner. "The team will definitely be challenged early on and that will prepare us for the CAA schedule."
Charleston will host in-state foe South Carolina on August 19 for an exhibition match inside TD Arena.
The Cougars officially open the 2023 slate at home for the eighth consecutive season hosting Le Moyne, Davidson and West Virginia in the CofC Classic August 25 and 26 from TD Arena. The Cougars open the season Friday afternoon with Le Moyne and close the night with Davidson before a 24-hour break ahead of the weekend finale with West Virginia.
The Cougars head across town for a Tuesday night tilt with The Citadel in their first of two midweek nonconference bouts with a city rival. The August 29 meeting at McAlister Fieldhouse is the first trip across town since the Spring 2021 season.
The weekend of September 1 and 2 the Cougars head to Statesboro for a trio of matches at Georgia Southern's Invitational. The Friday night meeting with the Eagles marks the first trip to Statesboro since the 2012 season when both teams were members of the Southern Conference. Charleston is also slated to take on Stetson from the ASUN and George Washington of the A10.
Charleston heads to North Charleston for a single match with Charleston Southern – their second trip to the Buc Dome in as many seasons after taking part in the Buccaneers' tournament in 2022.
Charleston closes their nonconference slate with Arkansas, Troy and Western Kentucky at the WKU Invitational the weekend of September 8 and 9. Charleston's meeting with Arkansas to open the weekend is their first with the Razorbacks in program history and the 10th active SEC program the Cougars have faced.
CAA play starts the weekend of September 16 and 17 as the Cougars open their 18-match slate at William & Mary. Charleston hits the road for 10 of the 18 conference contests with trips to Delaware, Campbell, Northeastern and Hampton on the docket.
Home conference weekends include Stony Brook (Sept. 23 and 24), UNCW, Elon and Hofstra (Nov. 4 and 5 on Senior Weekend).
Towson will host the 2023 CAA Championships for a fourth-straight season Nov. 16 through 18 at SECU Arena.
Admission to College of Charleston volleyball matches is free of charge and fans are reminded of the clear bag policy for all home events.
