CHARLESTON, S.C.—For the 13
th consecutive year, the College of Charleston women's tennis program was awarded Division I ITA All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Cougars have earned this title 27 times in the last 28 years under head coach and director of tennis operations
Angelo Anastopoulo.
Â
"The team continues to thrive academically, which is important. Academics are the star of our tennis program at the College of Charleston. Student-athletes take full advantage of the academic support offered, and it shows in their GPAs," Anastopoulo stated. "I do not doubt that these student-athletes will be tremendous contributors to society in the future. They are a great investment."

To earn the ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale, all student-athletes should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

Additionally, eight Cougars have earned ITA Scholar athletes including

Peyton Brotzman,
Mckenzie Daniel,
Ella Faessler,
Maja Jekauc,
Belle Kuhnert,
Nicole Stephens, and
Halli Trinkle.

To be awarded ITA Scholar athletes, one must have a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form.
