WILMINGTON, N.C. – College of Charleston conceded the lone goal of the game in the waning minutes in a 1-0 loss at UNCW on Sunday.
Kayla Burroughs broke up the scoreless deadlock with just over two minutes remaining to hand the Cougars their second CAA defeat in three outings. The Seahawks are 2-1 in conference play.

Olivia Freitas appeared poised to put Charleston in front but her shot was denied by Hanna Wise.Â
The teams deadlocked at 10 shots each with
Delaney Dawes leading the Cougars with four.
Savannah Barron made six saves.
Charleston returns home for its next two games, hosting Hofstra on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Campbell on Sunday at 4 p.m.
