CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston puts its undefeated streak on the line Tuesday at 7 p.m. when the Cougars take on Duke at Koskinen Stadium in Durham, N.C.
The Cougars are 2-0-5 including a 1-1 draw with Furman in their most recent match. The seven-game unbeaten run is the longest since going 6-0-3 at the end of the 2017 season. Charleston begins the week ranked third in the United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Region poll.
Duke (4-2-1) was ranked 11th in the nation prior to Sunday's 2-1 loss to North Carolina. The Blue Devils started with four wins and a tie before dropping their last two games to Clemson and the Tar Heels.
The teams are meeting for the eighth time but first since 2005, and Duke holds a 5-2 lead in the series. This is also the second straight season the Cougars are facing an ACC opponent. Charleston and NC State played to a 0-0 deadlock last season at Ralph Lundy Field.
