BOSTON, Mass. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team defeated the Northeastern Huskies 83-46 on Sunday afternoon to find their fourth win in CAA play.
The Cougars came out hot and the Huskies could not put their fire out. With an 18-0 run in the first quarter, the Cougars grabbed a double-digit lead that Northeastern could never recover from.
Jenna Annecchiarico started the scoring streak with a three-point bucket to boost her over 1,500 career points, reaching the milestone with the first offensive play of the game.
Charleston tallied 16 steals alongside 14 baskets beyond the arc to propel the squad to the dominant win.
Taryn Barbot finished the day with 26 points supported by eight three's; a new career high for the four-time Rookie of the Week.
Alexis Andrews also tallied double digits, knocking down 16 points to aid the road victory.
12 Cougars saw the court in today's 37-point win, including

Nicole Hemphill who found buckets in the paint to end the scoring for Charleston.
