
Men's Soccer Hosts North Florida in Nonconference Finale

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's soccer team will take on North Florida at Patriots Point on Wednesday, October 16.
The Cougars will head into their nonconference finale with a 7-4-2 record, after a recent tie with the Northeastern Huskies.
Charleston jumped ahead early with a goal from Chris Elliot in 11th minute. The Huskies answered in the 37th minute to tie the game heading into halftime. Despite 17 shots on goal between the two teams after the break, the second half remained scoreless, giving the Cougars their second draw in conference play. In a game-deciding moment, Olly Marshall saved the penalty shot to keep the score even and end the game 1-1.
North Florida is currently 4-5-3 on the season, coming off a win on the road against Lipscomb. The Ospreys netted two late goals to fuel the comeback victory, tallying their second conference win of the season.
The last time North Florida traveled to Patriots Point the Cougars pulled out a 2-1 win over the Ospreys.
