CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will return home to host Delaware on Sunday, October 20.
The Cougars head into Sunday on a two-game winning streak, after defeating Hampton 1-0 on the road Thursday afternoon.
The Cougars came out pressuring the Pirates, tallying 13 shots on goal in the first half. Despite numerous opportunities, the Cougars were unable to find the back of the net, entering the break with a scoreless game.
Charleston continued to press in the second half, finding a late goal in the 81st minute to push past Hampton. A throw into the box ricocheted to the feet of Bella Antonio, who was able to place the ball into the left side of the net. After scoring late versus Elon, Antonio now has goals in back-to-back games.
The Blue Hens sit with a 4-2-1 record in conference play, most recently falling to Stony Brook in a 3-2 matchup.
The last time the Cougars faced Delaware, the two teams tied in a scoreless game in Newark. In the Blue Hens' last visit to Patriots Point, Charleston took the 2-1 win.
Sunday's matchup will be Charleston's annual Pink Game. All fans are encouraged to wear pink for breast cancer awareness.
Kickoff is set for 12:00pm and will be livestreamed on FloFC. Livestats will be available at CofCStats.com
