Women's Soccer Set to Host Northeastern on Thursday

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team is set to kick off October hosting Northeastern on Thursday, October 3 at Patriots Point.
The Cougars faced UNCW Seahawks on Thursday, September 26 amidst a tropical storm. Despite eight shots on goal and five corners following the early Seahawks goal in the second half, the Cougars were unable to score a go-ahead goal, ending the game in a draw.
Northeastern is 0-7-4 this season, most recently falling to Monmouth 2-1 on Sunday. The Huskies are 0-2-1 in conference play, falling to Elon before earning a 2-2 draw at Towson.
Charleston is looking to secure their second win over Northeastern in matchup history. These teams last faced each other in the 2023 season in Boston, where the Cougars fell to the Huskies 2-0. The last time the Huskies travelled to Patriots Point, they found a 2-1 victory over Charleston.
