CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's soccer tied Delaware at home on Sunday afternoon 0-0.
The Cougars wrapped up their regular season home games with a draw at home against the Blue Hens. Despite nine shots from Charleston, they were unable to find the back of the net. The Cougars remain undefeated at home during the 2024 season.
Delaney Dawes led the offensive effort with three shots, including one on goal in the second half.
Faith Slimmer tallied a close shot on goal, which was saved by the Delaware goalkeeper.
Savannah Barron helped secure the team's 11
th shutout of the season, tallying three saves on goal to keep the score even.
Shae Yocum anchored the backline, foiling any runs downfield from the Blue Hens.
The Cougars sit in sixth place in CAA standings with one game remaining in regular season play. With the top six teams advancing to postseason play, Charleston looks to clinch a berth for the first time since the 2018 season.
