CARY, N.C. – College of Charleston alum Evan Sisk was selected to USA Baseball's roster for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Premier12.
The 28-player U.S. roster comprises of 15 pitchers and 13 position players who are not currently on Major League Baseball 40-man rosters and features four USA Baseball alumni as well as four MLB Pipeline Top 100 prospects.
Team USA–one of six teams in Group A–will compete in the group stage from Nov. 9-14 in Guadalajara and Tepic, Mexico. The top two nations from the six-team group will then advance to the Super Round in Tokyo, Japan, from Nov. 21-24.
Sisk spent the entire season with the Kansas City Royals Triple-A affiliate, the Omaha Storm Chasers, appearing in 58 contests. The southpaw went 6-2 out of the bullpen in 57.1 innings, posting a 1.57 ERA and .166 batting average, while striking out 81 batters and not allowing a single home run. His 1.57 ERA was the best among Triple-A pitchers who appeared in 45.0-or-more frames. Sisk also saved 15 contests as Omaha went 89-59 in 2024, winning the International League Championship.
Sisk pitched three seasons at The College, posting a 16-7 record and 3.69 ERA across 204.2 innings. In 2018, Sisk went 10-3 in 15 starts with a 2.96 ERA and was named to the College Baseball Foundation National Pitcher of the Year Watch List en route to being drafted in the 16th round of the 2018 MLB June Amateur Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.
