MT PLEASANT, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball welcomes High Point to the Lowcountry April 2-4 for a three-game non-conference series. First pitch in the opener from Patriots Point is set for 6 p.m.
The series opener is the first Jersey Thursday of the year where two replica jerseys will be raffled off at the marketing table located on the concourse.
To elevate the fan experience at Patriots Point, all concession stands and additional points of sale at College of Charleston baseball and softball contests will now operate as cash free points of purchase beginning April 2 when Cougar baseball hosts High Point.

FIRST PITCH:
- Charleston beat Winthrop, 15-5, Tuesday evening in Rock Hill.
- Sophomore Alex LaCoste had a career night, going 5-for-6 with two homers, three runs scored and four RBI in the win.
- CofC scored six runs in both the first and seventh innings.
- LaCoste and redshirt senior Ethan Plyler went deep in the win. Both hit two-run blasts in the seventh.
- Redshirt senior Alex Lyon earned the win, tossing 4.0 innings out of the bullpen.
- Lyon made his 89th career relief appearance and his 18 relief wins are one shy of tying Carter Love for the most in school history.
- Graduate Dylan Johnson was named to the Buster Posey Award Midseason Watchlist Wednesday, one of 50 catchers on the list.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Charleston is 4-5 versus High Point, having played the Panthers in series in 2006, 2015 and 2022.
- CofC holds a 4-2 record at home.
UP NEXT:
- Charleston travels to the state capital April 7 for a midweek contest at South Carolina. First pitch from Founders Park is set for 6:30 p.m. with the game airing live on SEC Network Plus.
