Women's Soccer Set to Face Elon in CAA Tournament

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston women's soccer team will travel to New York to face No.3 Elon in the opening round of the CAA Championships on Thursday, October 31.
The Cougars return to postseason play after six years, last qualifying in 2018. Charleston wrapped up regular season with a 3-0 win to propel them to the conference tournament, beating out Towson by goal differential in the stands. The Cougars are the No.6 Seed in the tournament.
Charleston faced Elon earlier in the season at Patriots Point, upending the Phoenix 3-0 in the team's regular season meeting on October 13. The Cougars scored 93 seconds into the contest and controlled the rest of the way.
The winner will advance to face Stony Brook on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Seawolves defeated Charleston, 3-0, on September 22 on Long Island; Elon downed Stony Brook, 2-0, in the Seawolves' next game on September 26 in North Carolina.
