Men's Soccer Travels to Wilmington to Battle Seahawks

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer team will travel to North Carolina to take on UNCW on Saturday, October 5. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
The Cougars last took the field against the Hawks in a scoreless draw, finishing the day with 11 shots. After entering the break, the Cougars came out hot outshooting their opponent 7-2. A series of attacking opportunities throughout the second half showed promise for Charleston, but they were unable to convert.
Charleston enters the matchup 2-0-1 in conference play, defeating Stony Brook and Delaware so far this season.
The Seahawks will enter Saturday 2-4-4 on the season and 1-2-1 in conference play. UNCW most recently faced William & Mary last Saturday, falling by a score of 4-0 on the road.
The two teams last met during the 2023 season, where the matchup at Patriots Point ended in a 1-1 draw. The last time the Cougars travelled to UNCW was the 2022 season, which also resulted in a 1-1 tie. Head Coach Keith Wiggans will be looking for his first career coaching win against the Seahawks on Saturday.
