Men's Soccer Set to Face #7 North Carolina

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The College of Charleston men's soccer team will travel to Chapel Hill to take on No. 7 North Carolina Tuesday, October 8. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
The Cougars traveled to Wilmington to face rival UNCW on Saturday. Charleston fell 2-1 in a close matchup. A goal in the second half from Matt Lenert tied the game 1-1, but a late goal from the Seahawks was determined to be the game-winner.
Charleston enters the matchup 2-1-1 in conference play and 7-3-1 on the season. The Cougars are 4-2 when playing away from home.
The Tar Heels enter the matchup 6-1-3 on the season, undefeated on their home turf. North Carolina most recently traveled to South Carolina to face Clemson, falling in a tight 3-2 matchup in their first loss of the season.
The two teams last faced each other during the 2016 season, ending in a 0-0 draw after 2OT. The Cougars have not beaten the Tar Heels since the 1995 season, where they took the 3-0 win at home.
