CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – College of Charleston men's soccer fell to No.7 North Carolina Tuesday night 3-0.
The Tar Heels scored in the ninth minute of the game to take the lead and again in the 24
th minute to enter the break with a 2-0 lead over the Cougars.
Charleston found two shots on goal in the second half, when a corner kick found the head of
Chris Elliott was saved by the goalkeeper and again with a shot from
Ty Nero.
North Carolina found their final goal in the 87
th minute to bring the final score to 3-0.
Olly Marshall tallied ten saves on the day for Charleston, leading the defense against a strong Tar Heel attack.
Charleston will return to action on Saturday, October 12 to host Northeastern at Patriots Point. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. and will be livestreamed on FloFC.
