
Men's Soccer Set to Face Drexel in Regular Season Finale

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston's men's soccer team is set to travel to Philadelphia this weekend to face off against Drexel on Saturday, November 2.
The Cougars are 4-1-2 in conference play this season, coming off a recent win against No.18 Hofstra, to clinch their first CAA tournament berth since 2017.
Charleston got on the board early when a shot from Leonardo D'Ambrosio found the back of the net. The Cougars doubled the lead in the 21st minute when a cross from D'Ambrosio was headed into the net by Ryan Watson. Hofstra answered with a goal in the 55th minute, but Charleston sealed the game in the 74th minute with a goal from Adil Iggoute.
The Dragons sit at 4-2-1 in conference play, returning home to take on the Cougars after a 1-1 tie with Villanova on the road.
The last time these two teams faced off was during the 2019 season, ending in a win 2-0 for the Cougars. Charleston sits 4-1-2 all-time against the Dragons, looking to tally another win for the books.
With a win on Saturday, Charleston can clinch the hosting position for the CAA Championships, which would be begin on Thursday, November 7. The Cougars would earn a bye into the Semifinals with a victory over Drexel.
