NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.- Taylor Barbot led the way as the College of Charleston women's basketball team defeated Iona in their first road game of the season, 77-41.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marissa Brown began the scoring for the Cougars, scoring seven of Charleston's first nine points.
- The Cougars went on a 15-0 scoring run to take the lead heading into the second frame, only allowing Iona two baskets in the first.
- 12 Cougars found points on the day, while two tallied double-digits.
- CofC outrebounded the Gaels 43-29, tallying 13 steals and forcing 28 turnovers.
LEADING COUGARS
- Taylor Barbot knocked down 15 points on the day, going perfect from the charity stripe and from beyond the arc.
- Lara Rohkohl earned her second double-double of the season, grabbing 10 points with 11 boards.
- Sophia Tougas earned her 500th career point in the matchup in New Rochelle, supported by a pair of threes, ending the day with eight points.

After improving to 4-0 on the season, the Cougars lead the country in four statistical categories.
Charleston averages 53.3 bench points per game, 20 steals per game, 21.6 turnover margin and 35 turnovers per game, all topping the national rankings.

Rohkohl ranks third in the country in offensive rebounds, averaging 5.7 per game.
