
D’Ambrosio Named Co-Midfielder of the Year; Five Cougars Earn Postseason Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Five members of the College of Charleston men's soccer team were awarded postseason honors, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon. Highlighting the accolades was Leonardo D'Ambrosio, who was named Co-Midfielder of the Year in the CAA.
D'Ambrosio led the Cougars' offensive effort, tallying nine goals in the regular season with seven assists. The senior midfielder ranks eighth in the nation in game-winning goals and was also named to Top Drawer's Top 100 Players List in October. Also grabbing a First Team accolade, D'Ambrosio has received postseason recognition for three consecutive seasons, landing on the Second Team his sophomore and junior seasons.
Ezra White earns his first postseason honor, being named to the CAA Second Team. The Clemson native led the conference in total assists, tallying 10 in the regular season, good for fourth in the NCAA.
Noah Gold was named to the CAA Second Team in his first season with Charleston after anchoring the backline in four shutouts and 10 victories in the regular season. The junior defender was named Co-Defender of the Week after propelling the Cougars to a 2-0 victory over Campbell, scoring both goals to tally five goals in the regular season.
Chris Elliott grabs his first postseason accolade, named to the Third Team after assisting the Cougars to 10 wins in the regular season, scoring four goals alongside two assists. Elliott played in all 17 games of the regular season, earning eight starts.
Olly Marshall was named to the Third Team after leading the Cougars in all 17 games of the regular season. The junior goalkeeper led the conference in total saves and saves per game, facing three penalty shots during the season and rejecting all three. Marshall was named Defensive Player of the Week after the Cougars' 3-1 victory over Hofstra.
