PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The College of Charleston women's basketball team fell 59-54 in the Hawk Classic final on Saturday afternoon to Saint Joseph's.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two teams finished the first frame tied at 16, but the Hawks outscored the Cougars 13-8 in the second quarter to take the lead.
- Charleston began the third with a 6-0 scoring run, cutting the deficit to two, but a three-point bucket for St. Joe's extended their lead again.
- The Cougar defense forced 21 turnovers on the day complimented by 14 steals.
LEADING COUGARS
- Taylor Barbot tallied a team-high 23 points on the day, tying her career-high scoring.
- Taryn Barbot grabbed five steals on the day, along with six rebounds and five points.
- Marissa Brown added nine points and two steals on the day for the Cougars.
