HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – College of Charleston women's basketball downed Hofstra on Friday night 88-59 in Mack Sports Center.
The Cougars took an early lead to begin the matchup and ran with it until the final whistle to improve to 10-3 in conference play and a four-game winning streak.
Jada Logan knocked down nine points in the first quarter to fire up the Cougars as they took a 16-point lead into the second quarter.
Charleston displayed not only a strong offensive performance backed by 11 buckets beyond the arc, but a solid defensive performance as well. The Cougars logged 15 steals along with 22 points off turnovers while dominating the board, outrebounding Hofstra 42-26.
Four Cougars tallied double-digits, as the squad was led by a 24-point performance from Logan who went 9-of-14 including four three-point buckets.
