WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team fell on the road to Monmouth on Sunday afternoon, 73-63.
The Cougars came out slow to start the game, shooting only 50-percent while Monmouth knocked down five shots beyond the arc. As the Hawks could not miss,
Jada Logan started a fire for the Cougars, tallying nine points in the first quarter as Charleston trailed by 10.
The first quarter ended up being the difference for the Cougars, as they started to heat up and knock down their shots, they were unable to overcome the 10-point deficit that started the game, cutting it to as small as two in the fourth quarter but never taking the lead.

- Logan shined for the Cougars on Sunday afternoon, providing the spark needed to keep Charleston within reach of the game. Logan knocked down 26 points with nine rebounds, shooting the only two three-pointers for Charleston of the day.
- Taryn Barbot also found double digits for the Cougars, reaching 17 points with nine rebounds.
- Zoe McCrary tallied eight rebounds and two blocks on the day.

- Charleston splits their road trip 1-1, defeating Hofstra on Friday night before falling to Monmouth on Sunday afternoon.
- The Hawks are the only team to beat the Cougars twice this season and are the only team to find a win in TD Arena.
- The Cougars will only hit the road one more time this season before the conference tournament.
