CHARLESTON, S.C. – The College of Charleston track and field team will travel north on 26 to Charleston Southern University on Friday for the Buccaneer Invitational.
The Cougars are coming off a successful meet at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge.
Individually, it was highlighted by Kaitlynn Bailey who broke her own record twice in the 100 with a finals time of 11.86. Kinsley Allen, in her first collegiate outdoor meet, placed second overall in a jump off finale and established herself in fourth place in the Charleston record book with a height of 1.63m (5'4 ¼'').
From the group events, the 4x800 team was in the spotlight. Andie Harding, Cayden Crismon, Hannah Wise and Savannah Stoutt set the school record with a winning time of 9:21.26.
This Friday many from the Charleston team look to make their debut as stormy weather canceled day two of the Collegiate Challenge.
This will be the first and last meet in the greater Charleston area for the season.
