Cougars Compete at Raleigh Relays this Weekend

Charleston, S.C. - The Cougars will head up this weekend to the North Carolina state capital for the Raleigh Relays.
Charleston is coming off a multi day intrastate meet at the Weems Baskin Invitational in Columbia. The meet was highlighted by Kaitlynn Bailey who broke her own school record in the 100 with a time of 11.73 which is over a half second faster than any other sprinter in school history.
However, she wasn't done. Later in the day Bailey broke the 200 record in a time of 24.59 which dethroned Kennay Agnew who held the top time since 2016.
Rhian Purves and Savannah Stoutt finished one and two in the 1500 invitational. Purves remained second in school history while Stoutt climbed to fourth in her first ever collegiate outdoor 1500 race.
Looking forward to this weekend, Charleston will enjoy their first rain free track meet, but keep an eye out for Maeve Gimbert and Cayden Crismon who will be running in the 10000 for the first time this season for any of the Cougar athletes.
