BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The College of Charleston women's basketball team defeated Campbell in a tight matchup on Thursday evening 60-57.
The Cougars survived a road battle in Buies Creek, N.C., maintaining a two-point lead in the final minutes of the game to grab the win.
The two squads battled for 40 minutes, exchanging leads eight times throughout the night. Charleston spent more time tied with the Camels than leading, as the Cougars only led for three minutes of the night.
Charleston started the night down nine points in the first quarter, as a 10-0 run for the Camels ended the first 10 minutes of play. The Cougars went on to outscore Campbell 17-9 in the second to narrow the Camels' lead to one at the break. Charleston went on to outscore their opponent in the third and the fourth to secure the win.
A win for the Cougars maintains their fourth place standing, as the Cougars will look to win out the rest of conference play to secure a double-bye in the tournament.

- Jenna Annecchiarico tallied 24 points for the Cougars with three shots beyond the arc. Annecchiarico has scored in double-digits in the last three consecutive games.
- Alexis Andrews also tallied double-digits on the night, scoring 14 points and knocking down a pair of threes. Andrews also lead the team in rebounding with eight.
- Taryn Barbot and Jada Logan both contributed on the night, each grabbing four rebounds.
