Charleston Competes at Duke Invitational this Weekend

Charleston, S.C. - After an impressive trip up to Raleigh and a week off, the Track & Field team will travel back to North Carolina for the Duke Invitational.
The headline of the last race was Cayden Crismon breaking a 12 year old record in the 10k with a time of 35:48.82. Maeve Gimbert also impressed with her season debut in the event with a 36:13.90 to put her in third all time.
As well, Kaitlynn Bailey continued her hot streak by breaking the 200 record for the second week in a row with a time of 24.33. Bailey also contributed to the 4x400 relay along with Andie Harding, Rhian Purves and Kirsten McKenna for a time of 3:57.04 to take over 8th in the annals.
This weekend marks a month out from the CAA Outdoor Championship, which the Cougars look to keep on stacking strong showings leading into the championship race.
Charleston will also send a select group of athletes to SC State for the Sharonda Coleman Classic on Saturday.
The Track & Field team will head to Columbia next weekend for the USC Open.
