Lieger, Jent Gain Spots on CAA All-Conference Track and Field Team

RICHMOND, Va. – Luzy Lieger and Madison Jent earned spots on the CAA all-conference team on the strength of their performance in the pole vault at the outdoor championships.

Lieger, a graduate student this past season, won her fourth straight pole vault title (two indoor and two outdoor) and was all-conference for the sixth time in her career. She holds the CAA indoor record at 4.06m, (13'3 ¾") and the school outdoor mark at 4.20m (13'9 ¼").

In addition to her quartet of conference wins, Lieger also finished second in the 2021 outdoor meet and third the following year.

Jent enjoyed an outstanding freshman season, culminating in a podium appearance by finishing third at the outdoor meet. She also scored in the indoor championships by taking sixth and ranks third in Cougar history in both the indoor (3.76m, 12'4") and outdoor (3.86m, 12'8") pole vault.
