Women's Soccer Defeats North Dakota to Remain Undefeated at Home

CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's soccer defeated North Dakota 2-0 on Sunday afternoon to improve to 5-1 on the season.
The Cougars got on the board in the 30th minute when a cross from Emmie Wannemacher found Bubbles Dever in the box, where Dever was able to finish the ball with a one-touch shot into the back of the net.
Faith Slimmer doubled the lead for Charleston when she deflected a shot from Lilli Ray and snuck it past a line of defenders into the bottom left corner of the net.
Charleston outshot the Fighting Hawks 22-10 in the matchup, as the Cougar defense limited North Dakota to just two shots on goal.
With the win, the Cougars remain undefeated at home with 17 goals on the season.
Charleston will return to the field on Wednesday, September 4 to take on USC Upstate on the road. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m. and will be livetreamed on ESPN+.
