#23 Cougars Set to Host Delaware

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The No.23 College of Charleston men's soccer team will host Delaware on Saturday, September 21 in their second matchup of conference play.
The Cougars faced Furman earlier in the week at Patriots Point, falling 4-2 after back-to-back goals propelled the Paladins to victory. Charleston sits 6-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play after three goals in the second half versus Stony Brook led to the Cougars' first conference win of the season.
The Blue Hens currently hold a 4-2-1 record on the season, most recently falling to No.20 Elon in their conference opener last weekend. After taking a 3-0 lead, the Phoenix rallied back to score four unanswered goals for the win over Delaware.
Charleston last met the Blue Hens in their final game of the 2023 season, where the Blue Hens took the 2-1 victory to eliminate the Cougars from conference tournament contention. The last time the two teams met at Patriots Point, Charleston found the 2-0 win in the 2022 season.
Looking to bounce back from a midweek loss, the Cougars have a chance to advance to 2-0 in conference play with a win on Saturday.
