#23 Men's Soccer Travels to Face Georgia Southern

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The No.23 College of Charleston men's soccer team will head back on the road and face Georgia Southern in a midweek matchup on Tuesday, September 24.

The Cougars hit the road after taking down Delaware on Saturday at Patriots Point. Charleston defeated the Blue Hens 1-0 after a goal from Chris Cushing came seconds before the half. The Cougars advanced to 2-0 in conference play for the first time since 2015 and 7-1 on the season.

Georgia Southern has yet to lose a game, holding a 3-0-3 record on the season. The Eagles most recently faced Kentucky in their conference opener, finishing the matchup in a scoreless draw.

Charleston last met Georgia Southern in October the 2023 season at home. The Cougars took the victory after trailing 1-0 at halftime, scoring five unanswered goals in the second half. This win snapped a four-game losing streak against their former Southern Conference rival.

Looking to keep their hot streak on the road, the Cougars hope to advance to 8-1 with a win on Tuesday against the Eagles.
