CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston women's soccer tied the Seahawks 1-1 on Thursday afternoon.

Just six minutes into the second half, a corner kick from Faith Slimmer was found by the head of Avery Nassetta into the back of the net to take the 1-0 lead. The Seahawks quickly answered, tallying a goal in the 62nd minute of play.
Despite eight shots on goal and five corners in the second half, the Cougars were unable to score a go-ahead goal, ending the game in a draw.
True freshman Ainsley Chunn tallied six saves in her first start in goal. Delaney Dawes and Emma Wennar led the front line with two shots on goal each on the day. With the tie, the Cougars hold a 7-2-3 record on the season.
