CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston advanced to the Women's ACC Finals later this month following a top nine finish at the qualifying regatta in New London, Conn. The Cougars also had a strong showing at the Charleston Fall Interconference and Danmark Trophy regattas.
At the Women's ACC Qualifier, CofC finished in eighth place. Charleston's boats had 97 and 106 points, respectively, for a total of 203 points. The top nine teams qualify for the finals, which take place Oct. 12-13 in Annapolis, Md.

Fredrikke Foss,
Emily Alfortish,
Lucy Elvart and
Paige Lubrano all competed for the Cougars in the qualifiers.
Charleston Fall Interconference placed third with 77 total points. Charleson's A Division earned 42 points while its B Division tallied 35. The Cougars were seven points shy of first-place Jacksonville University.
The Cougars placed fifth in the Danmark Trophy with 142 total points. Charleston's first boat earned 61 points while its second garnered 81.

The Cougars are back on the water for three regattas Oct. 5-6. Charleston hosts the CofC Women's Fall Regatta, while traveling to the Tiger Town Trophy and ACC Open Qualifier.
