Volleyball Adds Pair to 2025 Roster
CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston volleyball head coach Jason Kepner has announced the addition of two more players to the 2025 roster.
"What a great way to finish off our 2025 class," said Kepner. "Amanda and Julia will be huge additions to our gym this fall. They are great people, students and volleyball players. I am excited to see what they bring to our program. Welcome to the family."
Amanda Busk – Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker – Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
Amanda Busk joins the program after earning three letters at Plymouth Whitemarsh. During the three campaigns, Busk helped the team post an overall record of 56-11 and 17-2 in conference action, winning a pair of conference titles. Busk was a 2022 Suburban One League All-League Honorable Mention, 2023 First Team All-League and All-District and 2024 Player of the Year, in addition to earning First Team All-League and All-District honors. Busk ranked 11th in the state in attacking percentage and 12th in total kills.
"Amanda is an exciting attacker," said Kepner. "She can play every front row position and attach with power. That versatility will give her the opportunity to play. She will bring a tremendous amount to our gym with her physicality and all-around skill. I am excited for the fall season and adding Amanda to our program."
Julia Gnida – Outside Hitter – Hickory, N.C.
Julia Gnida comes to Charleston from St. Stephens, where she was named First Team All-State, All-Conference, AVC Best and Brightest, NCVBCA All-Region and St. Stephens High School MVP during her senior campaign. In her fourth year of prep school, Gnida tallied 513 kills and 298 digs.
"Julia is an outstanding six-rotation outside hitter," said Kepner. "She can do it all on the court. Her ability to pass, defend and attack at a high level will give her the opportunity to get on the floor right away. I am excited about her attacking front row and out of the back row. Her touch on the ball is first class and will improve our teams ball control. Julia will bring a lot to our program on and especially off the court."
