ORLANDO, Fla. - The College of Charleston Cougarettes made program history at UDA Nationals, taking home the silver medal in the D1 Hip-Hop category. This marks the program's second ever podium finish and the highest finish in four years.
The Cougarettes competed in three events in the D1 Category: Jazz, Game Day, and Hip-Hop. The team earned the highest historical raw score in program history in the Jazz division preliminary round with a 91.4.
The team also took home seventh place in the Game Day division, wrapping up a successful weekend representing the College.
"The goal of this program is to consistently put more difficult and more clearly executed routines on the Nationals floor each season, and that goal was achieved this month. The 2024-2025 team has set the bar high for the future of this program," said head coach Erica Slaughter.
