CHARLESTON, S.C.- The College of Charleston women's basketball team finished opening weekend of conference play 2-0 after defeating Campbell 78-63 on Sunday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• A quick start from the Cougars resulted in an 8-0 lead, as Charleston began the game 4-of-4 from behind the paint. Nyah Willis began the contest sinking a pair of triples.
• Lara Rohkohl created a 6-0 run to start the third quarter with three layups, bringing the Charleston lead to nine.
• The game remained tight heading into the final frame, but a strong fourth quarter for Charleston secured the win, outscoring the Camels 22-10.
• Charleston ended the contest with an 8-0 run, after McKinley Brooks-Sumpter and Taylor Barbot sunk two sets of free throws.

LEADING COUGARS

• McKinley Brooks-Sumpter led the team in scoring for the second-straight game, knocking down 16 points on the day with six rebounds.
• Lara Rohkohl grabbed 15 points for the Cougars with four rebounds.
• Taylor Barbot tallied double-digit scoring for the seventh-straight time, tallying 11 points complimented by seven rebounds and six assists.
• Taryn Barbot also found 11 points on the day with five rebounds.
