RICHMOND, Va. - College of Charleston junior Emilie von Finckenstein has been named the CAA Golfer of the Week after her runner-up performance at the Tot Hill Farm Invitational. This is the first conference honor of von Finckenstein's career.
von Finckenstein picked up a second-place mark in a shortened Tot Hill Farm Invitational in Asheboro, N.C., shooting a 1-over 145. The junior bounced back from a 2-over opening round with a 1-under 71 in the second round. The Hamburg, Germany product began her second day with back-to-back birdies on the first two holes before finishing with four birdies on the afternoon and seven in total. It marked the second straight season von Finckenstein has captured a runner-up finish in the Cougars' Tot Hill Farm Invitational.
