
Cougars Host Edisto Island Invitational to Conclude Fall Slate

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston women's golf team concludes the fall portion of their 2025-26 slate by hosting the Edisto Island Invitational October 26-28 at the Plantation Course on Edisto Island.
The tournament, originally scheduled to be played October 27-28, was extended to three days due to impending inclement weather.
Charleston will welcome The Citadel, Charleston Southern, East Carolina, West Carolina, Queens, Elon, Georgia State, Wofford, Radford, Towson, Longwood, Campbell, and Stetson to Edisto Island.
The Cougars are coming off a T9 (+1) finish at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah. Molly Hardwick and Carys Fennessy led the College of Charleston women's golf team with a pair of top ten individual finishes. Hardwick was the top Cougar finisher with a 7-under, sixth place finish out of 85 competitors. She was named the CAA Golfer of the Week for her performance. Fennessy was one stroke behind with a T7, six-under finish.
Charleston has won the last two Edisto Island Invitationals. In 2024, the win gave head coach Jamie Futrell his 40th career victory. The Cougars won the tournament by four strokes (+11) over second place Northern Arizona. Hardwick (4, +1) and Adrian Anderson (8, +6) both earned top ten individual finishes at the Plantation Course.
In 2023, the Cougars won by four strokes (+6) over runner-up Georgia Southern.
Charleston will tee off Sunday at 10:00 a.m., playing with Campbell and East Carolina.
