
Men's Soccer Welcomes UNCW for Final Game

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston men's soccer team is set to host UNCW Saturday, November 1 at 7 p.m. for the team's final game of the season.

LAST TIME OUT — Charleston enters the match 5-8-3 (2-3-2) following a 3-1 win over William & Mary at Albert-Daily Field Saturday, October 25.
In the Cougars' second win over the Tribe this year, Lennon Gill netted his third goal of the year, Stian Bendvold scored for the second time this season and Julian Jordheim found the back of the net for his first goal of the 2025 campaign.
In goal, Jourdan Schumacher tied a season-high with six saves in the contest.
SPORTSCENTER TOP 10 — Last Saturday against William & Mary, the Cougars' first goal came via two bicycle kicks as Noah Gold sent a bicycle pass into the box where Lennon Gill found the back of the net with a bicycle of his own. The goal was the No. 1 play on the SportsCenter Top 10 list that evening.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS — UNCW comes into the contest with an overall record of 5-7-2 and a 4-3 mark in conference play. The Seahawks clinched a postseason berth and eliminated the Cougars from postseason contention with their 2-1 win against Campbell Wednesday night.
UNCW is led junior Bryan Miralrio and sophomore Christian Acevedo who lead the team with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Miralrio has four goals and three assists, while Acevedo has scored five times this year.
MATCHUP HISTORY — The Cougars hold a 4-10-5 all-time record against the Seahawks, with Charleston's last win coming in 2017.
UNCW defeated Charleston 4-2 on its home turf earlier this year.
AWARDS — The Cougars have earned two CAA Player of the Week awards this season.
Jourdan Schumacher garnered the Defensive Player of the Week honor on September 15 after posting two clean sheets with eight saves as he helped the Cougars defeat USC Upstate 1-0 and earn a point against Campbell in a 0-0 draw earlier that week.
Ben Bagshaw was named the Offensive Player of the Week on September 29 after scoring a pair of goals in just over 10 minutes propelling Charleston to a 3-1 win over William & Mary on September 27.
