VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The College of Charleston distance medley and 4x800 relay teams set school records to highlight the team's performance at the CAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach.
The DMR squad of
Savannah Stoutt,
Caroline Cassidy,
Andie Harding and
Jeorgi Gavalas finished fourth while posting a time of 11:48.18. Stoutt, Harding, Gavalas and
Abby Mogg placed third in the 4x800 relay with a time of 9:07.65.
Mogg made the biggest individual move in the Cougar record book, running 2:16.83 in the 800m to take over fifth place.
Cayden Crismon lowered her PR in the 3000m to 10:07.88 and remained eighth in school history.
In addition to the two relay teams,
Madison Jent contributed a point to the Charleston team total by taking eighth in the pole vault with a height of 3.68m (12' ¾"). Jent has scored in all three of her conference meets, finishing third (outdoor) and sixth (indoor) in 2024.
Abby Fush (11.58m, 38'0") fell just .03 meters shy of her PR and .06 meters away from qualifying for the finals in the triple jump.Â
The Cougars are off next weekend before opening the outdoor season at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge on March 14-15.
